Sorry Day is an annual event held on the 26th of May to commemorate the stolen generation. For Sorry Day 2023, Albion Park High School contributed by giving our students further knowledge about the history of Indigenous culture and Sorry day itself by having members of the Aboriginal Leadership Team; Jorja Maholland, Tharje O'brien, Reagan Ralphs and Kyla Dobeson deliver a short speech about the significance of the day.
These students then invited Mia Thompson, Maddie Noronha and Madison Isaac (fellow students) to perform their personalised version of the "Sorry Song". Once this was finished, parents/caregivers and members who of the community who attended the ceremony were invited for light refreshments in APHS' performing arts hall.
