8.Fullmetal Alchemist
Number 8 is Fullmetal Alchemist, an out anime with good animation, character designs and some depressing scenes and the backstory for some of the characters can be really depressing. The problems I have with it lie in the storytelling, it is full of filler and it can get in the way and be very irritating when you just want to see the real story, but just because it is at the bottom of the list doesn’t mean it's bad.
7.Dragon Ball
Number 7 is Dragon Ball, an amazing start to an amazing series. It has amazing fights, villains and characters that will get you attached, it is also one the first westernized anime in the world, it inspired other anime like Naruto, One Piece, Bleach and more. My only problems lie with the animation and the behaviors of the characters. The animation, while being great for its time, is very outdated and the characters are very childish and unfunny. It can be cringe at times but it still deserves to be on the list.
6.Death Note
Number 6 is Death Note for good reasons, the story is some of the best I have seen. There is no filler so you don't get bored, the characters have interesting stories, the animation and character design is pristine and the interactions with the villian and hero are amazing. My only problem is there is one season with only 37 episodes, like number 5, they could have done so much more.
5.Demon Slayer
Number 5 is Demon Slayer, it is a solid anime with a compelling story and amazing animation. It falls at 5 because there are only 4 seasons and a small amount of movies. There is just not enough content to move it up, they could have done some more to give more stories, characters and fights and they just kill off all the hashiras without properly fleshing them out.
4.Bleach
Number 4 is Bleach, it is a great anime which has been bought out by Disney which is surprising, you wouldn’t expect Disney to make a good anime. Its fights are amazing, the animation has gotten a lot better and the characters' personalities are cool. The only issue is that you never see the Ichigo train. He is just magically strong, the filler is way too much and the character designs are a bit bland.
3.Naruto
Number 3 is Naruto, a very popular anime with a massive fan base and good characters. The animation has certainly gotten better and more fluent. The story is very fleshed out and a lot of the villains are very cool. My only problem is that the sequel anime Boruto is one of, if not the worst anime i have ever seen, as it follows Naruto's son Boruto and it just ruins years of story development.
2.Berserk
Number 2 is Berserk. Now Berserk is the best anime I have ever watched, it is on par with number 1 but it is constantly changing places but I had to settle for number 2. The story is immaculate, the animation is not great but has improved greatly. Fight scenes are tough and the villain is savage, its design and world building is also great. It could be number 1 but I think number 1 is more iconic.
1.Dragon Ball Z
Number 1 is Dragon Ball Z, this was the first anime I have ever watched and I might be a bit biased, but the fight scenes are perfect and the animation is great for its time. The pacing is great, the world building is not good at all but not everything is perfect. The character development is amazing and the designs are also good, it also has the most iconic transformation ‘Super Saiyan’, it's very iconic and even if you don't watch it you know what it is.
